Application Process

Open and complete the application (items 1); print it out to submit.

Complete the domicile determination form (item 2) and the application for assistantship (item 3). Print these out and hold to submit with the application.

Complete the FERPA form (item 4). Send the link on the FERPA form to those who will provide letters of recommendation for you: the link provides access to the recommendation form (item 5) and instructions about submitting it.

Print out application instructions (item 6); follow instructions carefully to complete and submit the application and supporting documentation.

International students must complete the Virginia Consortium application process (above) and the Old Dominion University International Admission application available at the following link: General Admission Information for International Students.
Application Deadline ~ December 1
Applicants should consider carefully which GRE test dates will support their applications. Complete applications and supporting credentials, accompanied by a $65 application fee (check or money order made payable to Old Dominion University) must be received by the deadline. There is no fee waiver policy.
How to Apply for Financial Aid
Complete the application for assistantship (item 4 above); submit with the application. Those who apply for student loans should include Old Dominion University [003728] on their FAFSA lists.
The Virginia Consortium supports the resolution adopted by the Council of Graduate Departments of Psychology regarding admissions: Applicants will be notified on or before April 1 and those to whom admission is offered will be given until April 15 to accept or decline. A written notice on behalf of the Program validates an offer of admission.
