Welcome Back Faculty and Students!

Fall classes and campus activities are quickly getting underway for this new academic year.  Upon your return, you may have noticed there have been visible changes to the campus-at-large.  Watching new structures growing out of former parking lots, sharing space on our sidewalks or rising out of demolition rubble has been exciting these past few months!  This year promises to add new dimensions to our University way of life because of the following major changes:

  A new President:
     WELCOME President Roseann Runte!
  The Convocation Center!
  A renewed Constant Hall!
  The Mag Lev!

Exciting changes around the College of Sciences include:

  Approval for a new Center for Computational Sciences!
  Bachelor’s degree in ocean and earth science now offered!
  Six new faculty hires!
 Construction of the Sciences new research vessel to start ANY DAY!
